Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2015

Dr Kar-Narayan has just been awarded an ERC Starting Grant - €1.5 million over the next 5 years! ERC Starting Grants aim to support up-and-coming research leaders who are about to establish a proper research team and to start conducting independent research in Europe.

Symposium organiser at EUROMAT 2015

Dr Kar-Narayan has been invited to organise a symposium at the upcoming EUROMAT 2015 conference in Warsaw, Poland. She will be organising a symposium on "Materials for Energy Harvesting", along with Dr David Munoz-Rojas (CNRS, Grenoble) and Dr Albert Tanacon (IREC, Barcelona).

Royal Society scientific meeting proposal accepted

The Royal Society has accepted a proposal for a scientific meeting on "Caloric materials" to be organised by Xavier Moya, Sohini Kar-Narayan and Neil Mathur. This meeting will be held in February 2016 at the Royal Society, London. More details to follow.
