Jesus Green, Cambridge, 2 Nov 2015

Born in Poggiardo (Apulia, Italy), graduated from University of Pisa with a BSc and a Master degree in condensed matter physics. I did my PhD in Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa) in computational chemistry, working with Prof. Vincenzo Barone on an integrated quantum - classical approach to the prediction of spectra of flexible molecules in condensed phase.

Currently in Cambridge for a post-doc in Prof. Chris A. Hunter's group, developing a quantitative model that exploits DFT calculations on isolated molecules to predict their non-covalent binding affinities, based on Hunter's universal α, β-scale and the SSIMPLE coarse-graining approach.
