My career to date has been mostly in the Investment Banking industry, and more recently here at the University of Cambridge. Those environments are both extreme examples of communities of 'knowledge workers' working in complex environments with a need to excel in the art of 'collaboration'.
This page is a 'work-in-progress' which I intend to expand in due course, the idea being to collect my thoughts in the important issues regarding information technology support for collaboration.

The Collaboration Station is a thought experiment to see what a workplace might look like optimised for collaboration with one's colleagues. The essential question is whether you can work remotely, but be as productive in a team as you would have been in a shared office.
