The Loss of Biological Diversity and its International Regulation

Biological diversity is an important natural resource which provides services and goods that benefit human beings and improve welfare. But nowadays, species are subjected to extinction at an alarming rate, faster than any other historical extinction on the Earth. Biodiversity loss is due principally to human activity which causes habitat reduction and many other significant alterations. This is why the international community has taken on the challenge of cooperation and consequently the international environmental regime of biological diversity has emerged.
